RevolutionEHR is an optometry Electronic Health Records (EHR) Software that offers a complete practice management (PM) solution, that is ONC-ATCB and Meaningful Use (MU) certified. The software is cloud-based and is made so physicians can spend more time with patients and not fighting with the software. It includes EHR, PM and patient portal.
The Optometry EHR is flexible and user-friendly to fit individual practices as desired. It allows physicians to document patient visits efficiently with patient histories, previous exam data, and labs, at their fingertips. To get assistance doctors can refer to the ‘Master Problem List’ and select an appropriate option. The drawing tool allows users to draw/mark on images and save them for the records. Physicians can prescribe electronically to save time and maintain accuracy. The system can also be integrated with eye equipment.
RevolutionEHR’s integrated PM module will streamline both administrative and financial aspects of the practice. Office administrators can easily manage intra-office tasks, schedule appointments, recall patients, generate a patient list, view insurance information, control the flow of patients, manage equipment and pull out reports on practice/employee performance and scheduling reports. Administrators can also restrict or give permissions to other users in the practice. Billing capabilities enable users to manage inventory, submit claims and code accurately with the ICD-10 codes.
RevolutionEHR’s secure patient portal provides inter-connectivity and messaging between patients and their care team and the practice. Patients can access their medical status, pertinent exam information, medication, allergies, account balances, and optical orders.

Pros: I like that RevolutionEHR Software is built with dental practices in mind. The workflow for charting, treatment planning, and patient notes is smooth and makes sense in real daily use. It’s cloud-based, so I can log in from anywhere, and updates happen without disrupting my work.
Cons: Support can be a bit inconsistent, sometimes they help right away, other times it takes longer than I would like to get a clear answer.
Verdict: Reliable EMR Software for dental practices.

Pros: RevolutionEHR is easy to customize and comes at a good cost. The practice management software is easy to install since its all cloud based.
Cons: The software only works well if your patients are like routine eye care exams with little to no actual disease. The more about the patient that you have to document, the more the software slows you down. Also, it takes way too long to train to be able to start using this software.
Verdict: I have mixed feelings about this product but overall I probably wouldnt recommend this to serious optometrists.

Pros: The EHR is web based which makes it easier for practices like us who have more than one location. Customizing templates is very very easy.
Cons: The UI is very dull and hard to get used to compared to other optometric practice management software solutions.
Verdict: Good value for the features it offers.
