Praxis, an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) Software was designed to assist medical practices in increasing their productivity and efficiency. It can be deployed both as cloud-based software and as a client-server.

Praxis EMR has recently introduced DATUM+ to enable easy reporting for MACRA, PQRS, and any Quality Reporting Programs. As the first performance year is due to start in 2017, Praxis is providing its clients with the means to adapt to the new regulation without having to change their EMR vendor.

Pros: Praxis has made my daily charting smoother and more flexible. It learns how I document and becomes faster the more I use it. I like that it is template free and gives me full control over how I take notes.
Cons: It took some time to get used to. I needed help to understand the best way to use it.
Verdict: Overall I am happy with how it works and how it supports my way of practicing. It is not perfect but it fits how I think and that matters most.

Pros: Praxis has helped me speed up my documentation. It fits well with how I write notes. It works better than other systems I have used in the past. I appreciate the customization.

Pros: I can see that Praxis is designed to give doctors more freedom in how they document. That is something I respect and value. I appreciate that it tries to learn from you rather than limit you.
Cons: I had a hard time using it. I did not feel comfortable with the layout even after some time.
Verdict: While it did not fully work for me I think it has potential for those who want a more personalized system. I believe others with more time to train may get better results.
