Valley Health System carries out Epic EMR software for flexibility

Project Elevate, a 16-month project will help the health system easily execute a more powerful and flexible version of Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to meet its needs.

Since the year 2014, all the health systems hospitals, healthcare providers, and outpatient clinics have utilized Epic software solutions to order tests and procedures, document care and communicate effectively with their patients and healthcare teams. But, the Electronic Health Records (EHR) software could not meet Valley Health’s specific requirements as it was extended to the health system through a partnership with Inova Health System.

Benefits from Epic EHR Software system

Valley Health’s partnership with Inova Health System has been productive, but the health system is growing and the needs and circumstances have also altered. With project Elevate, Valley Health can meet all its needs as it continues to grow and begin its own Epic EMR Software implementation to offer greater flexibility and independence.

The upgraded software system will help to elevate both patient care and patient experience to keep patients at Valley Health satisfied throughout their healthcare journey. The health system is all set to optimize the EHR software by utilizing laboratory, cardiology, and home health modules that are not presently on its Epic software system.

The EHR software technology will help enhance communication with patients and make way for care coordination to offer consistent high-quality care.

250 million patients are connected through Epic solutions and it is the most widely used EHR software vendor making it the largest software giant in the country. Epic EMR software has always been efficient and quick to release software updates to support scalability and is the #1 overall software suite in KLAS.
