Mosaic Life Care leverages Epic EHR software

The Missouri-based health system, Mosaic Life Care has announced to transition away from Cerner software and tap Epic EMR Systems.

The switch to the new EHR software will allow Mosaic Life Care to move to a secure and patient-focused system. The resilient software is designed to provide care teams with a comprehensive range of features that can help elevate the standard of patient care.

Starting on March 3rd, 2023, the Epic software will be launched, giving patients with access to the MyChart patient portal within the health system. This will enable them to conveniently review their medical records, view lab results, schedule appointments, and communicate with their healthcare provider.

Legacy Community Health receives a $1 million grant for Epic software implementation

Houston-based Legacy Community Health was granted $1 million in federal funding to update Epic software.

The funding was received to expand the capacity of the community health center to better serve its community. The system-wide upgrade will enhance interoperability across Legacy Community Health’s 41 clinics in Baytown, Houston, Deer Park, and Beaumont. Through the interoperable solution, clinicians can coordinate care, and share patient records seamlessly.

Legacy Community Health will be able to meet its patients’ requirements more effectively and maintain their satisfaction with the upgraded Epic EMR software.

Harris Health System extends its Epic EMR to Harris County Jail

Harris Health, the public healthcare system, has taken a proactive step towards improving the health of its community by offering healthcare services to the Harris County Jail.

Harris Health extended or transitioned its Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software to the jail through the Epic Community Connect Program. This enabled them to share the same patient records and give clinicians access to the same tools used at Harris Health’s other facilities.
